Open Time Trial Event - 9am Sunday 9 September

Event HQ - Hardwick S&S Club, Egremont Road
The third, and final, open event that we are promoting this year is a 25 mile time trial on the A428 at Hardwick.

We are grateful to members who have already stepped up to help with running this event, be it marshalling the course or baking cakes for post race refreshments.

However we still need one more course marshal and a timekeeper's assistant (for texting rider numbers and times to the HQ results board). If you can help on Sunday morning 9th September between 8:30 and 11:30 please contact our time trial secretary

Simon's Memorial - A huge thank you from Sue and Sophie

Mum and I just wanted to thank the hundreds of people that came to celebrate Simon's life with us, you helped to make it the perfect farewell.

There were some amazing tributes and memories of a happy-go-lucky, humorous, multi-talented and 'Crazy-Legs' Simon, which is how we all want to remember him.

To all of you that attended, spoke, wrote, came along with cakes and donated to the Air Ambulance we thank each and every one of you.  We have collected over £1,300 for the Air Ambulance which is incredible - thank you so much.

I've spoken to a few you about arranging a cycle ride in Simon's memory and I will let you all know when and where.  Maybe we could end the ride at a Mini Event?(Ed - Simon's other hobby was his Classic Mini)

John Brown Championship

Congregation area
Our Club event this Thursday 16 August will be for the John Brown Cup (1st claim members eligible)

This is usually held over 25 miles but this year we have been unable to run a 25 due to roadworks.

Therefore the Championship will be held on one lap of the Bottisham circuit

First rider off at 18:46. Guest riders, being members of other cycling clubs affiliated to Cycling Time Trials, pay an entry fee of £3. If you would like to ride but are not a member of a club, you can join our Club as a day member for £5.
